Bath

 

 

Whatever you want, whatever you like doing, you can do it in Bath. Culture and art? Bath has dozens of museums, and its streets are a living museum of Georgian architecture. History? The Roman Baths is one of the most complete ancient sites in the world, much of it unchanged for 2000 years. The countryside around Bath is among Britain's finest. Visit the gorgeous villages of Castle Combe or Lacock, in which no house is less than 150 years old.

Chester is the UK's definition of where north meets south. The real, honest beauty of the north, uncluttered, scenically constantly changing with all of the perceived sophistication of the big city south.

 
Inverness

 

With its suspension bridges across the River Ness and old stone buildings, Inverness is a pretty place which is well-known for its floral displays. Walk down along the river banks (in the direction of the Caledonian Canal) and you'll find the Ness Islands where you can escape from the hustle and bustle of the shops.

A small town, Llangollen is steeped in myth and legend. It is best known for hosting the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod every July which brings turns the town into a vibrant international stage.

Stirling has a wide range of visitor attractions to offer. It has a rich heritage, including some of Scotland's most important historical sites. Landmarks include the famous Wallace Monument, Stirling Castle and the Bannockburn Heritage Centre.

 

York

 

With numerous award-winning attractions York will surprise, inspire and stimulate. With a stunning cathedral, the world's best railway museum and the finest Viking site, York boasts several major attractions.
